Keith Webster has confirmed he will target Pro-Am2 victory as he returns to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB this season with current Teams Champions Redline Racing.
The 46-year-old from Liphook in Hampshire only contested a part-season in 2012 and is planning a fuller campaign in the series he first raced in, in 2011 when he finished second in Pro-Am2.
“I want to have a real crack at Pro-Am2 and really enjoy the season,” said a confident Webster. “I was so looking forward to getting back in the car when we went testing at Thruxton last month.”
He made his Carrera Cup debut in 2011 and battled against George Brewster for the Pro-Am2 title, eventually losing out by just five points after scoring five wins.
However, Webster’s 2013 programme will also include a return to two-wheels with a Superstox Kawasaki as well as competing in time trials with pedal power.
Webster is likely to miss the Oulton Park and Croft race weekends while taking part in a charity cycle ride in Italy – This shouldn’t damage his Pro-Am2 campaign as seven best weekends from 10 count for their final championship positions.
