Tom Sharp has made it a clean sweep of pole positions in 2012, taking his third position of the year at Thruxton this morning.
Qualifying was held under very wet conditions, but Sharp was immediately on the pace setting a 1:21.600 with Tom Ingram not far behind on a 1:21.857 and Fergus Walkinshaw setting a 1:22.831 to hold the top three positions.
On Lap Six, Sharp improved to a 1:21.425 setting the benchmark really high and retaining the top spot. Walkinshaw improved to a 1:21.646 to take second from Ingram who did not improve on that run.
So it was left to Sharp to claim pole position again setting an unassailable 1:20.827, Ingram improved to second place with a 1:21.062 dropping Walkinshaw who did not improve down to third on the grid.
In the G50 class, Richardson Racing locked out the front row with Mark Davies on Pole and Louise Richardson in second position.
