Will Burns has been discharged from hospital with fractured ribs and bruising on his lung following his heavy race one accident.
The Team HARD driver had no where to go on lap 14 of the Silverstone opener as Rob Collard returned onto the circuit after skating across the grass.
Burns impacted the rear of Collard’s BMW hard and then suffered an additional impact due to contact from Andrew Jordan behind.
The 27-year-old was subsequently transferred to hospital.
It is yet to be confirmed whether Burns will be able to compete in the final three races of the season at Brands Hatch GP in two weeks.
