Ongoing turbo boost analysis will take place on all Subaru Levorg and Ford Focus cars at Oulton Park this weekend as the BTCC looks into an “anomaly regarding the power delivery”.
Reported in Autosport/ Motorsport News, technical chiefs are set to monitor and assess the engine performance data from all run by Team BMR, Motorbase Performance, Maximum Motorsport and Team Parker Racing – spanning nine cars which have Mountune power plants. Alterations can be made if seen fit throughout the weekend.
Turbo boost adjustments are usually made after every three events once data has been looked at by BTCC technical operatives.
So far this season an apparent lack of straight line speed has hampered both the Subaru and Ford Focus cars with Ashley Sutton and Josh Cook being to be the highest ranked drivers from both machines in the standings, eighth and 13th respectively.
