Three drivers end 2017 season with penalties

The curtain came down on the 2017 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship with three drivers picking up penalties.

In what was a thrilling final day of the season; Colin Turkington, Tom Ingram and Senna Proctor found themselves in front of officials and issued penalties.

Power Maxed Racing’s Proctor was hit with a verbal warning for an incident with Adam Morgan in the opening encounter of the weekend.

Championship protagonist Turkington meanwhile was fined £500 and given three penalty points on his licence for the contact with Aiden Moffat which saw him take the lead in race two, ultimately going on to notch his fourth victory.

Speedworks Motorsport’s Ingram rounded off the day with an official reprimand and two penalty points on his licence for making contact with Mat Jackson in round 30.

Only 3 points & £500 fine for Turkington for pushing Moffatt off in race 2. More of a penalty for Sutton last time out for a less serious incident. Wheres the level playing field? Back of the grid in race 3?
