No Andy Neate For 2014

Andy Neate has confirmed that he will not take part in the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

Speaking on twitter, the Buckinghamshire-based racer said: No BTCC for 2014 but I’ll be back in 2015 & do it right.

Neate entered the series in 2010 for West Surrey Racing and then moved on to Team AON the following season. With the introduction of the MG KX Momentum team, Neate once again jumped ship to partner Jason Plato in 2012.

Last season saw Neate venture out, forming his own IP Tech Race Engineering squad – running a NGTC Chevrolet Cruze. The car has since been sold to Aiden Moffat who will run it under the Laser Tools Racing banner for the coming season.

Neate had looked to build more Cruzes for the coming season a plan that evidently hasn’t come to fruition.
