In a week that has seen the fallout of Finals Day coupled with the rumour mill working overload , Team ES Racing are the latest team to have teased fans with their 2014 plans.
The outfit, run by Chris James, last competed in the series running a pair of Vauxhall Vectra S2000 cars in 2012 – with Dave Newsham taking a brace of victories.
Speaking on the AV’ IT Facebook page, James said: “Well let’s tell you guys first. 100% job done, 100% happening. We’ve signed up with a major title sponsor and will have two amazing NGTC cars next year & will be running at the front.
“You heard it here first!!”
James has been hinting for much of the year that he has been looking to return to the BTCC, which is expected to be a full NGTC grid next year.
Honda Yuasa Racing has already confirmed that they will be parting company with their current Civic for a new model, thus putting them up for sale. Ciceley Racing are also set to put their Toyota Avensis up for sale as they make way for the build of their brand new Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
With many rumouring that James will buy his NGTC cars, it is worth remembering that the team boss/driver has also submitted plans to TOCA for machinery as well – which was seen earlier in the year on his Facebook page.
Once more news is released surrounding the team’s future involvement BTCC Crazy will bring you it.
