Jack Goff has hailed the hard work of Eurotech Racing after scoring his third pole position of the year at Brands Hatch today.
Backing up his Saturday pace shown most recently at Silverstone, the Honda Civic Type R driver produced a string of rapid laps to finish 0.357 clear of his nearest challenger, Aiden Moffat.
“That’s a great result,” Goff told BTCC Crazy. “To take our sixth front row start of the season is a real testament to how hard everyone has worked this year.
“I don’t think there was too much in it either if I’m honest. There perhaps could have been a tenth or so in it left but I was on the edge and really pushing hard out there.
“We knew we had a quick car so we’ve put ourselves in the perfect position to round our season off on a high. Our race pace is going to be really strong I think so I’ve got nothing to lose, we obviously want another win and some more silverware to round off the year.”
Still in the hunt for the Independent Drivers’ title, Goff admits he can only do the maximum he can to overhaul Ingram, however bad luck may be needed if he is to emerge as champion.
He said: “Tom has 31 points in the bag over us so it is going to be tough. In terms of qualifying, it has been job done for us and we’ve done the best job we could. Realistically we’re going to need Tom to endure some bad luck.
“We’ll do the best job we can and see what happens.”
