Four drivers hit with penalties at Knockhill

A total of four penalties have been issued by TOCA following today’s frenetic three BTCC encounters at Knockhill.

In race one, Adam Morgan received a verbal warning for gaining an unfair advantage following contact with BTC Norlin Racing’s Dave Newsham.

Andrew Jordan was handed a £1000 fine and three points on his licence for his part in the incident that brought out the red flag at the start of race two. The BMW Pirtek driver made contact with the rear of Matt Neal under braking into turn one. Jordan would retire due to contact with Senna Proctor.

Josh Price picked up four penalty points and was excluded from the second encounter for not slowing under flag signals. Price had originally notched his best result of the season of seventh.

Race three saw a solitary penalty issued with Team HARD’s Jake Hill being fined £500 and three points on his licence for an incident with Senna Proctor.

Due to the penalty being Hill’s third strike of the season, he will now start the opening race at Rockingham from the back of the grid, regardless of where he qualifies.
