Alex Rullo is considering his option for 2018, including a move to the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, after completing a test with Power Maxed Racing at Brands Hatch.

Getting behind-the-wheel of the teams Vauxhall Astra, the 17-year-old Australian got his first taste of BTCC machinery.

Completing several laps around the Kent circuit both the team and Rullo were pleased with how the day went, leaving them with both plenty to think about.

“I’ve got a lot to do now,” Rullo said. “The BTCC is a real contender for me. We need to go home and speak to our sponsors and see if they want to come on this journey with us. I really hope they do.”

Power Maxed Racing Team Manager, Martin Broadhurst, added: “He approached the day with a very mature and professional manner, successfully and quickly adapted his driving style to a FWD BTCC car.

“With the dry running in the afternoon he was quickly on the pace with very consistent lap times and great feedback for his experience. He did a very good job on the day.”

Also on track at the same time as Rullo was double BTCC champion Colin Turkington, who piloted his West Surrey Racing BMW 1-Series for the final time before the new year.
