Adam Morgan has his sights set on silverware at Silverstone today as he bids to build on his second row start.
Enjoying a turn in fortunes recently after a torrid mid-season run of results, the Mercedes A-Class driver equalled his best qualifying performance in the BTCC of third yesterday.
Missing out on pole position by a mere 0.049, the Ciceley Racing driver is keen to round off his season on a high as he continues to search for his maiden win in 2017.
Speaking to BTCC Crazy, Morgan said: “I’m happy with how Saturday went. To have equalled by best qualifying in the BTCC is good but I’m still waiting for that first pole position – it has been six years now!
“We have been on the pace all weekend and were close to getting on the front row, sadly Tom just pipped us at the end.
“That being said, we are in a good position to have three strong results. We’ve finally been able to get some luck and show what we can really do.
“Our championship chances went a little while ago now so I’m aiming to just get the best results possible. The goal is to finish today but I would love to take a first win of the season.
“Trophies and champagne will keep the team happy so I will see what I can do.”
