Chris James becomes the latest Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship driver to pledge his future to the series as he announced his plans for the 2012 season.

James, who made his debut in the British Touring Car Championship during the 2011 season, plans to run a two-car NGTC-spec team in his second full season in the series but is yet to confirm the make or model of his chosen car.

Talking about the decision for the ES Racing team he said, “We are delighted to be able to prove our long term commitment to the BTCC and to have not been a flash in the pan or a one season wonder.”

James competed in every round of the 2011 season with the S2000-spec Chevrolet Lacetti with his best result coming at Donington Park where he managed to finish just outside the overall points with a 12th place finish and finishing the season on two Independent points from the ten rounds of the season.

“Moving forward the team is able to grow on solid foundations built in the first season, this will allow us to finish regularly in the top 10 and we will be looking to continue to better this,” added Driver and Team Principal, Chris James.

“Adding a second NGTC-spec car was always our intention and now this is almost in place it confirms our standing as one of the top flight teams in the BTCC.”
