Heading into the final three races of the season in the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship there are five drivers that are still in the hunt for the title after the previous 27 races of the season.

Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden are two of the aforementioned drivers who lie first and second in the championship respectively with just six points separating them as they go toe-to-toe for the title in a day which will see “no team orders” according to Honda team boss, Peter Crolla.

“Ultimately when it comes down to the races we’re going to have to monitor the situation and make sure that we but ourselves in the best position,” said Peter Crolla. “Whether thats Gordon [Shedden] or Matt [Neal] is immaterial as long as it’s a Honda driver then we’re happy. We don’t have any preference in the team. We’ve just got to do the best we can for Honda.”

“Matt’s starting from 1st with Gordon in 3rd which sets up a little bit of a precedent for the start of the race but we’ll just try and get ourselves in a controlling position and manage it from there.”
