Plato Sets Pace In Second Brands Hatch Practice
Jason Plato left it late but his time which was set in the final minutes of the second free practice session of the day was good enough to put him at the top of the times.
Plato’s time of 1:32.301 put him ahead of Gordon Shedden by 0.296 seconds ahead of this afternoons all important qualifying session for the first race of the day tomorrow in Round Nine of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
O’Neill managed to improve his time set in free practice one by 1.1 seconds and give him the third fastest time of the session ahead of the third Chevrolet Cruze of Alex MacDowall.
James Nash just managed to break into the 1:32′s by a mere 0.001 second which was good enough to put him 5th fastest ahead of joint championship leader, Matt Neal, who left it late to set his first competitive time of the session.
Tom Onslow-Cole, Rob Collard and Tom Chilton finished in 7th, 8th and 9th respectively ahead of debutant Ollie Jackson in 10th.
