Uhrhane Joins Atech Reid GP
Australian driver Geoff Uhrhane will join the Formula Renault UK grid at Brand Hatch after securing a deal with Atech Reid GP.
The 20-year-old impressed during a test with the team at the Pembrey Circuit earlier this month and looks to familiarise himself with the car ahead of an assault on the full championship in 2012. He will also compete in the final rounds at Silverstone.
“The team were pleased with the progress Geoff made over the test day at Pembrey.” Anthony Reid stated. “He will be a promising edition to the team.”
“It will be a really interesting test to see just where Geoff stands against seasoned Formula Renault 2.0 drivers. I am sure he will surprise a few people!” added David Hayle.
Uhrhane has competed in the British Formula Ford Championship this year claiming 2 race wins, 11 podiums and 5 pole-positions.
“I am really looking forward to driving this weekend.” Geoff stated. “It was nice to jump into a car with so much grip after driving the Formula Ford all year!”
