Gordon Shedden continued his excellent form at Knockhill by topping the times in the second practice session.

The Scot set a best time of 58.111 seconds on a drying track to head the Ford Focus of Tom Chilton by just over a tenth of a second.

Frank Wrathall was an excellent third in the NGTC spec Toyota Avensis despite missing the first twenty five minutes of the session with a turbo problem.

Fourth was championship leader Mat Jackson who despite carrying maximum ballast seems to have a reasonable amount of one lap pace, something that he and the Airwaves team have struggled with throughout much of the season.

Matt Neal was fifth ahead of Dan Welch and Tom Onslow-Cole who both carried over their good form from this morning’s practice session into this one.

However, it was another difficult session for Chevrolet with Jason Plato only eleventh fastest and Alex MacDowall just behind him in twelfth.
