This weekend will see the return of the Dunlop British Touring Car Championship following the long summer break with Tech-Speed looking for a fresh start and put the bad luck from the first half of the season behind them.

Paul O’Neill has already taken seven top ten finishes this season and will be looking to improve on that as he sits 10th in the Independents Drivers Championship following the first 5 rounds of the season. “After a tough start to the season, Snetterton marks a fresh start for us. Our season really starts now and it isn’t about points and the championship standings; it’s all about going out on track and doing the best we can to challenge for podium finishes and a race win,” said O’Neill.

Tech-Speed have made adjustments to both Chevrolet Cruze’s during the summer break and coupled with the changes to the regulations, Paul is in good spirit for the weekend. “I’m sure that we get ourselves onto the podium again this season and if circumstances go our way, then we can certainly win a race. The tweaks we made to the car at Croft worked well although we didn’t reap the benefits of it and I’m sure we’ll show what we can do this weekend at Snetterton.”

John George, in the second of the Tech-Speed Chevrolet Cruze’s, is yet to break into the top ten this season but he’s confident of a good result at a circuit which he enjoys. “I like Snetterton as a circuit but we need to wait and see what impact the latest turbo revisions have as the stop-start nature of the new layout is likely to play to help the turbo cars,” he said. “Tech-Speed continue to work hard to give us a good car and I have to aim to close the gap to the turbo cars this weekend. If I can get the gap to the overall pace down to between 1-1.5 seconds then I think that would be good progress.
