It will be Jason Plato that will start tomorrow’s first race of the day from pole position after his lap-record breaking lap time of 1:24.839 during qualifying of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

The fastest lap time was held for much of the session by Rob Collard in the WSR BMW but Plato left it late to take the fastest time and his first pole position of the season.

For a second it looked like it would be Neal that would take the spoils but he was dispossessed by Plato with only minutes left on the clock who beat Neal’s time by 0.372s.

Rob Collard will start the first race from the second row of the grid alongside the 2nd of the Silverline Chevrolet Cruze’s.

Rob Austin managed to post the 11th fastest time of the session and in the process improved his best qualifying position by nine places with his time which was just 1.3s off the pace.

Onslow-Cole could only post the 15th fastest time in the Team Aon Ford Focus following his move from AmD Milltek Racing.com who incidentally will start from 21st with Hollamby at the wheel.
