Tech-Speed Aim High At Croft
The GoMobileUK.com with Tech-Speed team will be going all out this weekend as the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship travels north to the Croft Circuit.
Following a mixed weekend for both O’Neill and George at Oulton Park the team will be looking to bounce back and score well this weekend.
O’Neill, who currently lies 6th in the Independents Drivers Championship, has his sights set on three solid points finishes.
“We should be encouraged by the pace we showed in practice and qualifying at Oulton Park and on paper, we should be on for good weekend at Croft as the car is now working really well,” he said. “The guys at Tech-Speed worked really hard on making improvements to the car before Oulton Park and have worked really hard since then to repair the damage from the final race, but things are starting to fall into place.
The Tech-Speed outfit will be looking to take advantage of the recent rule changes regarding the ongoing saga between the turbo and normally aspirated powered cars. S2000-spec cars benefited from a reduced overall weight with the turbo boost pressure reduced in time for Croft by 0.05 bar but O’Neill still believes they will be the ones to beat.
“There is one turbo team in particular that we know will be really quick, but at Oulton Park we were able to mix it with the others, and our aim for Croft has to be to do that again and come away from the weekend with a solid haul of points. I’d like to think that we can be amongst the top scoring teams.”
