Jordan Looking For Repeat Performance At Croft
Andrew Jordan will head into round five of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship this weekend looking to emulate the performance which he showed in 2010 which took him to his first career victory in the series.
Jordan, who has already opened up his account in terms of wins for this season by taking the victory at Donington Park, has started the season well by his own admission and is still in the hunt of the championship fight after the first 12 races of the season and lies just 10 points behind James Nash in the Independents championship.
Speaking ahead of the trip to Croft this weekend, Jordan said, “Obviously after last year’s win I’m looking forward to racing at Croft again. It is a very busy lap, with tight technical sections as well as some challenging high-speed corners like the Jim Clark Esses and Sunny.”
This will be the second year in which Jordan has driven the circuit with the NGTC powered Vauxhall Vectra in the Pirtek Racing Team and that could make all the difference as he looks to push on with his title hopes before the long break.
“It is an important weekend as it leads into the summer break in the calendar, so we want to score well at Croft to set up a push for the Independents’ Trophy over the second half of the season.”
