Frank Wrathall will go into the fourth round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Oulton Park with the aim of scoring his first points finish of the season after making numerous changes to the car.

Unfortunately we’re yet to see the full potential of the NGTC Toyota Avensis this season but Frank and the Dynojet team have put the hours in over the break in the hope of eradicating the problems that have struck the youngster.

“Our priority now is reliability,” said 24-year-old Frank. “We need to get some race finishes under our belt, and we have been doing a lot of dyno testing with the engine to try to trace the problems which afflicted us at Thruxton last month. Hopefully at Oulton Park we can pace ourselves and put in a solid showing.”

Changes have been made to both the steering and chassis in a bid to improve the handling as well as engine enhancements which is an area which has hampered the team so far this season.

Frank went on to say, “We have done a tremendous amount to the Toyota since Thruxton; in fact, it’s been like building a whole new car again.”

Oulton Park stages the fourth round of the season on June 4/5.
