Alex MacDowall was yesterday handed two penalty points on his racing license and a reprimand following his race two clash with Rob Collard.

The pair were battling for 7th place when the Silverline Racing driver tagged the BMW of Rob Collard going into the Club chicane. Collard went into a spin and as a result fell to the back of the field, finally coming home to finish in 14th place.

Alex, who finished the race in 7th, now has 9 points on his racing license after picking up seven points from the opening round of the season at Brands Hatch.

The 20-year old will have to be careful now for the remainder of the season as a further 3 points will incur a 3-month racing ban for the driver.
