Tom Onslow-Cole Scores First Points For AmD

Tom Onslow-Cole , Donington race two

Tom Onslow-Cole scored AmD Milltek Racing.com’s first points of their Dunlop MSA British Touring Championship career with a 7th place finish in race two at Donington Park.

Starting from 13th on the grid, Onslow-Cole managed to take advantage of collisions which happened up ahead to run as high as 6th at one point during the race.

Speaking to BTCC Crazy after the race Tom said, “It’s really good to get some points and actually be involved in the championship rather than sitting down at the bottom of the table.”

“I’m happy with how it’s gone. We had a real difficult day yesterday which we’ve managed to turn it round into something that’s very positive. We’re really excited about it all,” said the 23-year old

We’ve generally got the pace and that showed as I managed to hold MacDowall off in an un-ballasted Chevrolet. We’ve still got a bit to do but we’re only five races into our development programme so it’s going well so far.”

Hollamby, who raced the Volkswagen Golf during the 2010 season, is delighted for his team to have finally scored some points.

“It was a solid performance with nothing spectacular. We’re down to less than a second off the pace now,” said the AmD Racing team manager. “What we wanted to do was to score points and the main thing was to get that out of the way. We had a massive cheer when we crossed the line which is great!”

Onslow-Cole will start the 3rd race of the day from 3rd on the grid following the top nine being reversed.
