Nash Fastest in FP2
James Nash set the fastest time in the second practice session of the day at Donington Park, this afternoon.
The Triple Eight driver left it late to lap the 1.96 mile circuit in 1:m10.659s and displace the Ford Focus of Tom Chilton who had topped the times for the majority of the session.
Tom Boardman was a surprise third in his Seat Leon ahead of morning pace setter Andy Jordan, in a close session that saw the top four separated by less than two tenths of a second.
Championship leader Jason Plato was again outside the top ten, 1.1 seconds adrift of Nash, as the turbo powered cars continued to dominate proceedings.
The fastest of the NGTC cars was once again Frank Wrathall in 19th with a time of 1:13.400 which was a 0.5s improvement on his time of FP1.
Qualifying begins at 15:25.
