Jordan Confident Going Into Home Race

JORDAN2

Andrew Jordan left Brands Hatch last week disappointed after missing out of a good points haul due to two punctures in race one but he’ll be looking to bounce back in style as he and the family-run Pirtek Racing Team head to their home race at Donington Park in little over a weeks time for the second round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

Andrew, who had steered the turbo powered Vauxhall Vectra into good podium positions before punctures wrecked his weekend, is confident that he has the car and the ability to score well at Donington Park.

“I think it will be one of our stronger circuits. We ran well there last year and the new engine is going really well so I think Donington will be good for us,” he said. “It’s good to have the Donington weekend at the start of the season and Donington is very local for the team so it will be good to be racing there. It is a challenging track and it’s pretty exciting down the Craner Curves on the early laps when you are just hanging on to the car!”

The 21-year-old already has two wins under his belt from last season and will be going into the second round of the season with every chance of adding to that tally.

Qualifying will be broadcast live on www.itv.com on Saturday 16th April with all three races shown live on ITV4 and ITV4 HD on the following Sunday.
