Triple Eight Switch To NGTC Engine
Triple Eight Race Engineering today confirmed that they will be using the NGTC TOCA-turbo engine prepared by Swindon Tuning in both of their Vauxhall Vectra’s this season.
The engine will be fitted to both James Nash and Tony Gilham’s Vectra’s in the 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
Ian Harrison, the Chairman of Triple Eight commented, “The Vectra won a few races last season including the first and last and it remains a competitive proposition.”
“Nevertheless, we’ve got a few tweaks up our sleeve to try. Add to that the switch to the NGTC engine which Swindon have been working hard on over the winter and which now boasts more power, you’ll understand why I’ve got high hopes that James and Tony will be competing at the sharp end in 2011″.
Triple Eight will join a number of teams that are making the step to the NGTC regulations including Honda Racing, Pirtek Racing, Team Aon and Motorbase who are all using the NGTC turbo engine for this season’s campaign.
