Hollamby Unveils Golf For 2011 Season

Shaun Hollamby today unveiled the AmD Milltek.com Volkswagen Golf at the Autosport International event ahead of them entering the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship for the second successive season.

Cosmetically the Mark-5 Volkswagen Golf hasn’t changed much from last season with most of the changes being to the suspension and more notably the switch to the NGTC engine. AmD will be using the Volkswagen 2.0L turbo engine for the forthcoming season after making the decision to develop their own engine instead of taking on the engine supplied by Swindon Engines.

“Going into this season I think we have a realistic shot at top ten finishes,” said Hollamby speaking to BTCC Crazy. “We’ve gained 50hp from last season which results in an extra 10 mph down the straight. We’ll no longer be a sitting duck”.
