Neal And Shedden To Stay At Honda

2010 British Touring Car Championship team champions, Honda Racing, have today confirmed that Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden will remain at the team for 2011.

The news follows the announcement that Honda Racing will continue with Team Dynamics for another year after this seasons success.

Steve Neal, team boss, said to Autosport, “Honda has left it up to us to choose the drivers. And I can’t see any reason to change what we already have, especially after the season we’ve had. Continuity of drivers is very important,”

Both Neal and Shedden were both in with a shout of the drivers championship going into the final race of the season and were two of Plato’s main rivals throughout the season.

Neal went on to say, “For us the work never stops. We have already started thinking about next year’s challenge and how we can take a clean sweep of all the trophies. This week is the first week of our 2011 programme and we can’t wait to get stuck in to it.”

Honda Racing will be sticking with the Honda Civic’s of 2010 but will be developing their own NGTC engine with the help of Neil Brown Engineering.
