Shedden fastest again in FP2 but Owy steals the show

Gordon Shedden once again topped the timesheets with the fastest time in the second free practice session of the day. The works Honda driver headed the Techspeed run Honda of Paul O’Neill by two tenths of a second. O’Neill, who is driving one of just two BTC-specification cars that are competing in the series this weekend, continued the excellent form he has been in, which sees him lie eighth in the drivers championship, by outpacing a number of drivers in newer machinery.

Matt Neal was third in the second works Honda, ahead of the two Chevrolets, with Jason Plato just getting the better of Alex MacDowall.

The two Team Aon Ford Focuses, who have been the team to beat in recent weeks, particularly in terms of one lap pace, were sixth and eighth respectively, split by the Vauxhall of Andy Jordan.
