Aon get pegged back

Team AON have been ordered by TOCA to reduce the size of the restrictor on their LPG powered Ford Focus in time for the next round of the season in three weeks time at Oulton Park.

After switching to the liquid petroleum gas fuel source the team has seen two consecutive pole positions as well as taking two race wins last time out at Brands Hatch.

Many teams have already expressed their concerns over the speed of the Focus which has been consistently faster over the speed traps at all three circuits (Thruxton, Rockingham and Brands Hatch). The move to make the restrictor smaller is a bid to bring the teams closer and equal.

This season sees four different types of car enter the BTCC with BTC spec, S2000, S2000 with NGTC turbo engines and the S2000 cars using LPG turbo’s.
