O’Neill confident the team can score more points
Sunshine.co.uk will be running success ballast for the first time after the teams brilliant start to the season at Thruxton which left their driver, Paul O’Neill, in fourth place after the three races and taking 23 points in the process.
“We hope to be quick again despite the ballast onboard,” said O’Neill. “I qualified well at Rockingham last season and am confident that we can score more points. We have to focus on finishing as high as we possibly can and scoring the maximum points possible from the weekend. If we could get onto the podium again, it would be fantastic.”
O’Neill has been confident throughout winter testing and prior to Thruxton and really feels that despite the car being BTC-spec it still has the speed to stay with the S2000 and new NGTC cars this season.
Paul’s team-mate, John George, will be looking for more of the same this weekend. “This time around I am feeling very positive about the weekend. We ran strongly at Thruxton and the more I drive the Team sunshine.co.uk with Tech-Speed car, the more confident I get,” he said. “My target is another top ten finish and to get my pace closer to Paul. Roll on Rockingham!”
