Triple Eight to run two Vectras

Despite the withdrawal of manufacturer support, Triple Eight will still compete in the 2010 British Touring Car Championship, according to the official entry list.

The team will run two Vauxhall Vectras but are yet to announce their drivers. Phil Glew, last season’s Renault Clio Cup champion is among the favourites to land a drive following a recent test with the team at Rockingham. Dean Smith also participated in this test but it is unclear whether he will get the opportunity to make his BTCC debut.

Also among the candidates is Nick Leason who has been rumoured to have landed a drive in a Vauxhall Vectra for this season’s championship.

With the start of the season just eleven days away, all will be revealed very shortly.
