Collard Set to Sign For Motorbase

Rob Collard didn’t hold back in letting everyone know that he wants to remain with the Motorbase Performance team in 2010. When speaking to Crash.net he told them that, “Motorbase is where I want to be.”

2010 looks set to be Rob’s 10th season in the BTCC after his debut back in 2000 in the Group B class. Rob is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal for the up and coming season but after attending numerous Motorbase test sessions and after today’s comments it looks as if it will be a done deal that Collard will be driving one of the Motorbase BMW’s when the cars roll out at Thruxton for the first round of the season.

“We’ve done two seasons together already, we learned a hell of a lot last year and I believe Motorbase will give me the best opportunity for 2010. We’re just waiting on confirmation from sponsors now.”

” I feel we got robbed a lot last year and didn’t really get the results we should have done. It was still fantastic to finish P6 in the championship, but I believe the team, myself and the car have got a lot more capability than just P6. The plan is to be top three in the championship.”
