Blencowe to Return to the BTCC

Alan Blencowe, who competed in the BTCC back in 2002 and 2003, is set to return to the BTCC in 2010. Alan has already received offers from numerous teams about driving in the BTCC and a statement on Alan Blencowe’s official website reads that “Alan Blencowe will be racing a Honda DC5″. This news comes after Martyn Bell was forced to sit out of 2010 with injuries which leaves a vacant place alongside Paul O’Neil in the Tech-Speed team.

Back in 2002, Blencowe managed to finish 7th in the Production Class driving an Alfa Romeo 156 and then went on to be runner up driving a Honda Civic Type-R in the following year so he already has experience in the championship. Alan has also had previous successes in the Fiesta Zetec Winter Cup as well as finishing runner up in the Seat Cupra Championship in 2006.
