Confident O’Neil Sign’s For Tech-Speed

Paul O’Neil today re-signed for Tech-Speed, the team he drove for last season. In 2010, Tech-Speed are planning to continue running the BTC spec Honda Integra’s, the car which saw them fight off the opposition and finish in a respectable podium position at Snetterton.

“I can’t wait for the new season to come. I genuinely believe we’ve got a chance of a big result at the first round at Thruxton. It’s a circuit where the Integra has always been very strong plus we came close to a win there last year, my first event back for a few years and I was still a bit rusty. I was lifting in places which, now I know the car better, I know I should have been flat,” said O’Neil speaking to btcc.net on the first round of the season. “I think we can have a win at Thruxton. I really do. If we don’t have a podium I’ll be gutted.”

Paul’s not let his training slip over the festive period as he’s kept up with his strict fitness programme to keep his diabetes in toe which kept him out of racing for some time over the past years.
